To enable us to comprehend better and deeper of the way in which God is portrayed in the Sacred Scripture/Holy Bible. Seriously, we need to understand the Israel's/Jacob's history. Through the help of archaeologists and by providing us the explicit historical facts and evidences. Thus, archaeological findings help us greatly in understanding the Sacred Scripture/Holy Bible better, and in an extensive manner.
The word archaeology comes from two Greek words meaning "a study of ancient things." the term usually applies today to a study of excavated materials belonging to a former era. Scriptural/Biblical archaeology is the scientific study, by excavation, examination, and publication of the evidences of cultures and civilizations from the scriptural/biblical period.
They reveal what life in scriptural/biblical times, throw light on obscure passages of Sacred Scripture/Holy Bible, and help us appreciate the historical context of the Sacred Scripture/Holy Bible.
Archaeology is a complex science, calling on the assistance of other sciences, such as chemistry, anthropology, and zoology. Many talented professionals, including engineers, historians, chemists, paleontologists, photographers, artists, and surveyors, are involved in the discovery, interpretation, and publication of archaeological knowledge.
Every object an archaeologist discovers, whether a piece of bone, pottery, metal, stone, or wood, is studied in detail. The archaeologist's work often requires translating ancient writings and studying an ancient city's art and architecture. These details studies are carried out in museums and laboratories, but the archaeologist must first recovery the material by carefully excavating an ancient city.
The greatest manuscript discovery of modern times began with the uncovering of the Dead Sea Scrolls in 1947. A young shepherd boy stumbled upon a cave south of Jericho containing numerous leather scrolls of Hebrew and Aramaic writing and some 600 fragmentary inscriptions. Great excitement quickly spread throughout the archaeological world. In 1952, new caves containing fragments of later scrolls in Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic were found enclosed in jars.
These starling discoveries have been followed by the uncovering of other manuscripts around the Dead Sea area, particularly at QUMRAN.
A full text of the Book of Isaiah (Old Testament) is the best known of the discoveries at Qumran, although other texts discovered are also significant. As a group, the documents make up the oldest existing manuscripts of the Sacred Scripture/Holy Bible in any language. One of the cave yielded 18 scraps of papyri written entirely in Greek. Some have identified them as fragments of the earliest New Testament version yet discovered, claiming that one of them, a fragment of Mark's Gospel, dates from about 15 years after the events recorded
Thus, the Sacred Scripture/Holy Bible helps us appreciated the archaeologist's discoveries, while scriptural/biblical archaeology helps us understand and interpret the message of God's inspired Word.
The truth of the Sacred Scripture/Holy Bible is not only a matter of facts, but of their interpretation too. Even if we could prove the accuracy of the entire Sacred Scripture/Holy Bible, its redemptive significance would not be proven because the Christian faith and believe is based on historical events. Christians should welcome any supportive evidence that archaeology can provide - but they do not necessary anchor their faith and believe to it in totality.
During the early years of exploring Scripture/Bible lands, etc. Archaeologists hope to make discoveries that would confirm the main events. As a result, or in other words, God may be described in terms of attributes. An attributes is an inherent characteristic of a person or being, while we cannot describe God in a comprehensive way, however, we can learn about God by examining and studying His attributes: for example, 'The natural attributes of God.' 'The moral attributes of God.'
1 - God is the creator and sustainer of the universe Who has provided humankind with the revelation of Himself through the natural world and through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. - Gen. 1:1 -
The heavens declare the glory of God,
the vault of heaven proclaims His handiwork;
day discourses of it to day,
night and night hands on the knowledge.
No utterance at all, no speech,
no sound that anyone can hear;
yet their voice goes out through all the earth,
and their message to the ends of the world. - Ps. 19:1-4 -
For what can be known about God is perfectly plain to them since God Himself has made it plain. Ever since God created the world His everlasting power and deity - however invisible - have been there for the mind to see in the things He has made. - Rom. 1:19-20 -
2 - God Is Spirit. The Lord Jesus Christ taught that "God is Spirit." Thus, God is invisible. He became visible in human form in the person of Jesus Christ, but His essence is invisible.
God is Spirit,
and those who worship
must worship in Spirit and Truth. - John 4:24 -
"It is the Spirit that gives life,
the flesh has nothing to offer.
The words I have spoken to you are Spirit
and they are life." - John 6:63 -
Since the Spirit of God is our life, let us be directed by the Spirit. - Gal. 5:25 -
Let us put it like this: if you are guided by God's Spirit you will be in no danger of yielding to self-indulgence, since self-indulgence is the opposite of the Spirit, so opposed that you do not always carry out your good intentions. If you are led by God's Spirit, no law can touch you.
When self-indulgence is at work the results are obvious: fornication, gross indecency and sexual irresponsibility; idolatry, and sorcery' feuds and wrangling, jealousy, bad temper and quarrels: disagreements, factions, envy; drunkenness, orgies and similar things. I warn you now, as I warned you before: those who behave like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
What the Spirit brings is very different: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, trustfulness, gentleness and self-control. There can be no law against things like that, of course. You cannot belong to Christ Jesus unless you crucify all self-indulgent passions and desires. - Gal. 5:16-24 -
These are the very things that God has revealed to us through the Spirit, for the Spirit reaches the depths of everything, even the depths of God. After all, the depths of a person can only be known by his/her own spirit, not by any other man/woman, and in the same way the depths of God can only be known by the Spirit of God. - 1 Cor. 2:10-11 -
3 - God Is Changeless. Progress and change may characterize some of His works, but God Himself remains unchanged. God does not change; otherwise He would not be perfect. Thus, what we know of God can be known with certainty. God is not different from one time to another.
It is You, Lord, who laid earth's foundations in the beginning, the heavens are the work of Your hands; all will vanish, though You remain, all wear out like garment; You will roll them up like a cloak, and like a garment they will be changed. But Yourself, You never change and Your years are unending. - Heb. 1:10-12 -
4 - God Is All Powerful. God power is infinite or unlimited. God can do anything that is not inconsistent with His nature, character, and purpose. The only limitations on God's power are imposed by Himself. "Impossible" is not in God's vocabulary. God creates and sustains all things; yet He never grows weary.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. - Gen. 1:1 -
At various times in the past and in various different ways, God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets; but in our own time, the last days, He has spoken to us through His Son (Jesus Christ), the Son that He has appointed to inherit everything and through whom He made everything there is. He is the radiant light of God's glory and the perfect copy of His nature, sustaining the universe by His powerful command. - Heb. 1:1-3 -
And so we have no eyes for things that are visible, but only for things that are invisible; for visible things last only for a time, and the invisible are eternal. - 2 Cor. 4:18 - Col. 1:15-20 - Is. 40:27-31 -
'I am the Alpha and the Omega' says the Lord God, Who is, Who was, and Who is to come, the Almighty. - Rev. 1:8 -
5 - God Is All Knowing. God possesses all knowledge because God is everywhere at one and the same time, God knows everything simultaneously. That God has the power to know the thoughts and motives of every heart is evident from many Sacred Scripture/Holy Bible passages, notably - Job 37:16, 38:39; Psalm 147:5; Hebrews 3:13 -
How rich are the depths of God - how deep His wisdom and knowledge - and how impossible to penetrate His motives or understand His methods! Who could ever know the mind of the Lord? Who could ever be His counsellor? Who could ever give Him anything or lend Him anything? All that exists comes from Him; all is by Him and for Him. To Him be glory for ever! Amen. - Rom. 11:33-36 -
6 - God Is Everywhere. God is not confined to any part of the universe but is present in all His power at every point in space and every moment in time. Thus, God does not belong to any one nation or generation. He is the God of all the earth.
But when you give alms, when you pray, if you forgive others their failings, and when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that no one will know you are fasting except your Father/God who sees all that is done in secret will reward you. - Matt. 6:1-18 - Ps. 139:7-17 - Gen. 18:25 -

Religion refers to a belief in true and living God, and reverence for true and living God, Who has supernatural power that is recognized as the "Creator" and "Ruler" of the universe. An organized system of doctrine with an approved pattern of behavior and character, and a proper form of worship.
Religion has always played an important part in civilization in the world. It was a powerful force. Therefore, faith in true and living God divorced from deeds is as lifeless as a corpse. In other words, religion can be or is equivalent to faith in living God, and faith in living God can be or is equivalent to religion.
The pagan civilizations of Scriptural/Biblical times worshiped many gods. They had male and female deities, high and low gods, assemblies of gods, priests and priestesses, and temples and sacrifices. All the forces of nature that could not be controlled or understood were considered supernatural powers to be worshiped and feared.
Thus, most of the people of the ancient world and on this present day or today world, were polytheistic; they worshiped many gods or more than one god. These people worshiped these gods in the form of representative idols. This practice is called idolatry. In other words, they pray and worshiped things or practice "Myth".
Most of these idols were in the form of animals or men/women. But sometimes these idols represented celestial powers like the sun, moon, and stars; forces of nature, like the sea and the rain; or life forces, like death. In time, an elaborate system of beliefs in such natural forces was developed into mythology. Belief in these false gods was characterized by superstition, myth and magic.
Therefore, they pray and worship or worshiping "Myth" that is, 'A widely held but false belief: (1) a misrepresentation of the truth. (2) a fictitious or imaginary person or thing. (3) an exaggerated or idealized conception of a person or thing. For example: misconception, fallacy, false notion, old wives' tale, fairy tale, story fiction, tall tale, cock-and-bull story.'
The nation of Israel/Jacob, (God chosen nation and people) however, was forbidden to make graven images of the one true and living God whom they worshiped. According to the Old Testament, the living God permitted no rivals: "You shall have no other gods before Me."
Then God spoke all these words. He said, "I am Yahweh your God who brought you out of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
"You shall have no gods except Me."
"You shall not make yourself a carved image or any likeness of anything in heaven or on earth beneath or in the waters under the earth; you shall not bow down to them or serve them."
"You shall not utter the name of Yahweh your God to misuse it, for Yahweh your God will not leave unpunished the man/woman who utters His name to misuse/abuse it."
"Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy. For six days you shall labour and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath for Yahweh your God. You shall do no work that day, neither you nor your son nor your daughter nor your servants, men or women, nor your animals nor the stranger who lives with you.
For in six days Yahweh your God made the heavens and the earth and the sea and all that these hold, but on the seventh day He rested; that is why Yahweh your God has blessed the Sabbath day and made it sacred."
"Honour your father and your mother so that you may have a long life in the land Yahweh your God has given to you."
"You shall not kill."
"You shall not commit adultery."
"You shall not steal."
"You shall not bear false witness against your neighbour."
"You shall not covet [desire or yearn for] your neighbour's house. You shall not covet your neighbour's wife/husband, or his/her servant, man or woman, or anything that is his/her." - Ex. 20:1-17 -
All the people shook with fear at the peals of thunder and the lightning flashes, the sound of the trumpet, and the smoking mountain; and they kept their distance. - Ex. 20:18 -
Yahweh your God said to Moses, 'Tell the sons of Israel/Jacob this, "You have seen for yourselves that I have spoken to you from heaven. You shall not make gods of silver or gods of gold to stand beside Me; you shall not make things like this for yourselves."' - Ex. 20:22-23 -
At this, seven claps of thunder made themselves heard and when the seven thunderclaps had spoken, I (John) was preparing to write, when I heard a voice from heaven say to me, "Keep the words of the seven thunderclaps secret and do not write them down."
Then the angel that I had seen, standing on the sea and the land, raised his right hand to heaven, and swore by the One who lives for ever and ever, and made heaven and all that is in it, and earth and all it bears, and the sea and all it holds, "The time of waiting is over, at the time when the seventh angel is heard sounding his trumpet, God's secret intention will be fulfilled, as He announced in the Good News told to His servants the prophets." - Rev. 10:4-7 -
Faith refers to a belief in true and living God with confident, involving commitment to God's will for one's life. Faith was already present in the experience of many people in the Old Testament as a key element of their lives. Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob[Israel] Joseph, and Moses are described as living by faith and deeds. Faith is part of the Christian life from the beginning to end.
Take the case my brothers and sisters, of someone who has never done a single good act or good deed but claims that he/she has faith. Will the faith save him/her? If one of the brothers or one of the sisters is in need of clothes and has not enough food to live on, and one of you says to them, 'I wish you well; keep yourself warm and eat plenty' without giving them these bare necessities of life, then what good is that? - James 2:14-16 -
Faith is like that: if good works/good deeds do not go with it, it is quite dead. - James 2:17 -
Do realize, you senseless man/woman, that faith without good deeds is useless. You surely know that Abraham our father was justified by his deed, because he offered his son Isaac on the altar? There you see it: faith and deeds were working together; his faith became perfect by what he did.
This is what Sacred Scripture really means when it says: Abraham put his faith in God, and this was counted as making him justified; and that is why he was called 'the friend of God.' - James 2:20-23 -
You see now that it is by doing something good, and not only by believing, that a man/woman is justified. - James 2:24 -
Thus, God is the "creator and sustainer" of the universe Who has provided humankind with a revelation of Himself through the natural world and through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.
Although the full revelation of God was in Jesus Christ, the human mind cannot fully comprehend God. One reason for this that Sacred Scripture/Holy Bible does not record all the actions and works and teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. Another reason is the limitation of the human mind. How can human being's finite mind comprehend/understand the infinity of God? IT IS NOT POSSIBLE.
This disciple is the one who vouches for these things and has written them down, and we know that his testimony is true. There were many other things that the Lord Jesus Christ did; if all were written down, the world itself, I suppose, would not hold the books that would have to be written. - John 21:24-25 -

In response to Jesus' prophecy that the Temple would be destroyed, the disciples asked when this would occur and how they would know it was about to happen. Because it was recorded in the Old Testament that the disciples/apostles believed that the Temple would be destroyed at the end of the world, when among other things, Christ Jesus would return/come. [Second Coming]
That is why, in the New Testament, the apostles, Matthew, apostle Mark, apostle Luke, and apostle Paul, apostle James, apostle Peter records the questions of the destruction of the Temple, and what will be the sign of the Lord Jesus Christ return, [Second Coming] and of the end of the age/end of the world/end time. Apostle John affirmed it in the Book of Revelation.
Apostle John has written down everything he saw and swears it is the Word of God guaranteed by the Lord Jesus Christ. Indeed, this is the 'Revelation' given by God, the Father to Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son, so that He could tell His apostles, disciples, believers, followers, and all those who love God, the Lord Jesus Christ with all their soul, heart, strength, and mind, about the things which are to take place.
What makes the discourse a little difficult to comprehend is that the Lord Jesus Christ intermingles His answers to these questions.
By mentioning these words, that is, Take care, Take heed, and Be warn, Be on your guard, Be on the alert, Do not be alarmed, and going into details, the Lord Jesus Christ provides a conclusion to the answer. Thus, we must be prepared for the Lord Jesus Christ return/coming and must not be taken by surprise.
I, Jesus, have sent My angel to make these revelations to you for the sake of the churches. I am David's line, the root of David and the bright star of the morning. The One, Who guarantees these revelations repeats His promise: I shall indeed be with you soon. Amen; Come, Lord Jesus Christ. - Rev. 22:16, 20 -
Jesus left the Temple, and as He was going away His disciples came up to draw His attention to the Temple buildings. Jesus said to them in reply, "You see all these? I tell you solemnly, not a single stone here will be left on another: everything will be destroyed." And when Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives the disciples came and asked the Lord Jesus Christ privately, "Tell us, when is going to happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming/returning and of the end of the world?"
And Jesus answered them, "Take care that no one deceives you; because many will come using My name and saying, "I am the Christ" [The Messiah, The Anointed One] and they will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumours of wars; do not be alarmed, for this is something that must happen, but the end will not be yet.
For nation will fight against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes here and there. All this is only the beginning of the birth-pangs.
Then, they will hand you over to be tortured and put to death; and you will be hated by all nations on account of My name. And then, many will fall away; men/women will betray one another and hate one another, and many false prophets will arise; they will deceive many, and with the increase of lawlessness, love in most men/women will grow cold; but the man/woman who stands firm to the end will be saved.
"This Good News of the kingdom will be proclaimed to the whole world as a witness to all the nations. And then the end will come."
So when you see the disastrous abomination, of which the prophet Daniel spoke, set up in the Holy Place (let the reader understand) then those in Judaea must escape to the mountains; if a man/woman is on the housetop, he/she must not come down to collect his/her belongings; if a man/woman is in the fields, he/she must not turn back to fetch his/her cloak. Alas, for those with child or with babies at the breast, when those days come! Pray that you will not have to escape in winter or on a Sabbath.
For then there will be great distress such as, until now, since the world began, there never has been, nor ever will be again. And if that time had not been shortened, no one would have survived; but shortened that time shall be, for the sake of those who are chosen.
If anyone says to you, then, "Look, here is the Christ" [The Messiah, The Anointed One] or "He is there" Do not believe it; for false Christs and false prophets will arise and produce great signs and portents, enough to deceive even the chosen, if that were possible. There; I have forewarned you.
If then, they say to you, "Look, He is in the desert" do not go there; "Look, He is in the hiding place" do not believe it; because the coming/returning of the Son of Man/Son of God will be like lightning striking in the east and flashing far into the west. Wherever the corpse is, there will the vultures gather.
Immediately after the distress of those days the sun will be darkened, the moon will lose its brightness, the stars will fall from the sky and the powers of heaven will be shaken. And then the sign of the Son of Man/Son of God will appear in heaven; then too all the peoples of the earth will beat their breasts; and they will see the Son of Man/Son of God coming/returning on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a loud trumpet to gather His chosen from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Take the fig tree as a parable: as soon as its twigs grow supple and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. So with you when you see all these things: know that He is near, at the very gates. I tell you solemnly, before this generation has passed away all these things have taken place.
Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away. But as for that day and hour, nobody knows it, neither the angels of heaven, nor the Son, no one but the Father only.
As it was in Noah's day, so will it be when the Son of Man/Son of God comes/returns. For in those days before the "Flood" people were eating, drinking, taking husbands/wives, right up to the day Noah went into the ark, and they suspected nothing till the "Flood" came and swept all away. It will be like this when the Son of Man/Son of God comes/returns.
Then of two men in the fields one is taken, one left; of two women at the millstone grinding, one is taken, one left.
So stay awake, because you do not know the day when your master is coming. You may be quite sure of this that if the householder had known at what time of the night the burglar would come, he/she would have stayed awake and would not have allowed anyone to break through the wall of his/her house. Therefore, you too must stand ready because the Son of Man/Son of God is coming/returning at an hour you do not expect. - Matt. 24:1-44 - Mark 13:1-37 - Luke 21:5-36 - 1 Thes. 5:1-3 - 2 Peter 3:1-18 -
Now, be patient, brothers and sisters, until the Lord's coming/returning. Think of a farmer; how patiently he/she waits for the precious fruit of the ground until it has had the autumn rains and the spring rains! You too have to be patient; do not lose heart, because the Lord's [Lord Jesus Christ] coming/returning will be soon. - James 5:7-8 -
To turn now, brothers and sisters, to the coming/returning of our Lord Jesus Christ and how we shall all be gathered round Him; please do not get excited too soon or alarmed by any prediction or rumour or any letter claiming to come from us, implying that the Day of the Lord has already arrived. Never let anyone deceive you in this way.
It cannot happen until the Great Revolt has taken place and the Rebel, the Lost One, has appeared. This is the Enemy, the one who claims to be so much greater than all that men/women call 'god', so much greater than anything that is worshipped, that he enthrones himself in God's sanctuary and claims that he is God.
Surely you remember me telling you about this when I was with you? And you know, too, what is still holding him back from appearing before his appointed time. Rebellion is at work already, but in secret, and the one who is holding it back has first to be removed before the Rebel appears openly. The Lord Jesus Christ will kill him with the breath of His mouth and will annihilate him with His glorious appearance at His coming/returning. [Second Coming]
But when the Rebel comes, Satan (creature) will set to work: there will be all kinds of miracles and a deceptive show of signs and portents, and everything evil that can deceive those who are bound for destruction because they would not grasp the love of the truth which could have saved them. The reason why God is sending a power to delude them and make them believe what is untrue is to condemn all who refuse to believe in the truth and chose wickedness instead. - 2 Thess. 2:1-12 -
But there is one thing, my friends, that you must never forget: that with the Lord, 'a day' can mean a thousand years and a thousand years is like a day. - 2 Peter 3:8 -
Since everything is coming to an end like this, you should be living holy and saintly lives while you wait and long for the Day of the Lord to come/return, when the sky will dissolve in flames and the elements melt in the heat. What we are waiting for is His promised: the new heavens and new earth, the place where righteousness will be at home.
So then, my friends, while you are waiting, do your best to lives without spot or stain so that He will find you at peace. Think of our Lord's patience as your opportunity to be saved: our brother Paul, who is dear to us, told you this when he wrote to you with the wisdom that is his special gift. He always writes like this when he deals with this sort of subject, and this makes some points in his letter hard to understand; these are the points that uneducated and unbalanced people distort, in the same way as they distort the rest of Sacred Scripture - a fatal thing for them to do.
You have been warned about this, my friends; be careful not to get carried away by the errors of unprincipled people, from the firm ground that you are standing on. Instead, go on growing in the grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be glory, in time and in eternity. Amen. - 2 Peter 3:11-18 -
The redeemed will be evaluated and judged by God, the Father, His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, and will receive their reward of 'Eternal Life' and live in eternal fellowship with God, the Father, His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!

I have through years of reading, pondering, reflecting and contemplating, the 3 things that last; FAITH . HOPE . LOVE and I would like to made available my sharing from the many thinkers, authors, scholars and theologians whose ideas and thoughts I have borrowed. God be with them always. Amen!
I STILL HAVE MANY THINGS TO SAY TO YOU BUT THEY WOULD BE TOO MUCH FOR YOU NOW. BUT WHEN THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH COMES, HE WILL LEAD YOU TO THE COMPLETE TRUTH, SINCE HE WILL NOT BE SPEAKING AS FROM HIMSELF, BUT WILL SAY ONLY WHAT HE HAS LEARNT; AND HE WILL TELL YOU OF THE THINGS TO COME.
HE WILL GLORIFY ME, SINCE ALL HE TELLS YOU WILL BE TAKEN FROM WHAT IS MINE. EVERYTHING THE FATHER HAS IS MINE; THAT IS WHY I SAID: ALL HE TELLS YOU WILL BE TAKEN FROM WHAT IS MINE. - JOHN 16:12-15 -
That is why, in the New Testament, the apostles, Matthew, apostle Mark, apostle Luke, and apostle Paul, apostle James, apostle Peter records the questions of the destruction of the Temple, and what will be the sign of the Lord Jesus Christ return, [Second Coming] and of the end of the age/end of the world/end time. Apostle John affirmed it in the Book of Revelation.
Apostle John has written down everything he saw and swears it is the Word of God guaranteed by the Lord Jesus Christ. Indeed, this is the 'Revelation' given by God, the Father to Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son, so that He could tell His apostles, disciples, believers, followers, and all those who love God, the Lord Jesus Christ with all their soul, heart, strength, and mind, about the things which are to take place.
What makes the discourse a little difficult to comprehend is that the Lord Jesus Christ intermingles His answers to these questions.

The Sacred Scripture/Holy Bible speaks of the infinite or eternity of God. As Creator, God brought the world into being, even before the beginning of time itself. - Gen.1:1 - God will also bring the world to its ultimate conclusion, in accordance with His will and purpose. It is written in the Old Testament and New Testament:
Before the mountains were born,
before the earth or the world came to birth,
you were God from all eternity and for ever. - Ps. 90:2 -
For thus speaks the Most High,
whose home is in eternity,
whose name is holy. - Is. 57:15 -
From John, to the seven churches of Asia: grace and peace to you from Him, Who is, Who was, and Who is to come, from the seven spirits in His presence before His throne, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. - Rev. 1:4 -
In physical terms, life is the time between birth and death. Obviously, life is the functions of people, animals and plants. Because God is the source of life, it is a gift from Him. God first filled Adam with the breath of life. - Gen, 2:7 - and God continues to be the source of all life.
The New Testament expanded on the Old Testament idea and understanding of life. The word life began to refer to more than physical existence. It took on a strong spiritual meaning, often referring to the spiritual life that results from man's relationship with God.
The "Tree of Knowledge" is one of the two special trees planted by God [Creator] in the "Garden of Eden." The other was the "Tree of Life" - Gen. 2:9 - Since the "Tree of the Knowledge" of good and evil, symbolized the All-Powerful nature of God, its fruit was forbidden to Adam and Eve. - Gen. 2:17 - But Satan, the tempter suggested to Eve that, by adding to their knowledge, the tree's fruit would make them 'as god.' - Gen. 3:5 - So Eve chose to disobey God, she took some of its fruit and ate it. Eve gave some also to Adam who was with her, and he ate it.
This Act of Rebellion marked the entrance of 'Sin' into the world. - Gen. 3:1-24 -
The "Tree of Life" in the "Garden of Eden" that bestowed continuing life. Before Eve and Adam sinned, they had free access to the "Tree of Life" but after their act of rebellion, two Cherubim guarded the way to its fruit. Adam's and Eve's inability to eat from the "Tree of Life" after their sin showed that they failed to gain eternal life or immortality.
It is because of Adam and Eve sin, they were subject to death and dying. This condition lasted until the "Coming or Return of the Lord Jesus Christ, Who offers "Eternal Life" to all who love Him with all his/her soul, heart, mind and strength."
This is the testimony:
God has given us eternal life
and this life is in His Son [The Lord Jesus Christ];
anyone who has the Son has life,
anyone who does not have the Son does not have life.
I have written all this to you
so that you who believe in the name of the Son of God
may be sure that you have eternal life. 1 John 5:11-13 - John 1:1-5; 5:21, 26 -
Eternal life means more than eternal existence. Eternal life refers to eternal fellowship with God. Eternal life is the highest quality of life. According to the Apostles, it is holiness, and freedom from sin, a positive relationship with God, the Father, and the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Father, the hour has come:
glorify your Son
so that your Son may glorify You;
and, through the power over all mankind that You have given Him,
let Him give eternal life to all those you have entrusted to Him.
And eternal life is this:
to know You,
the only true God,
and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. - John 17:1-3 -
At the end of time, those whose names are not written in the "Book of Life" will be "cast in the lake of fire." The "Book of Life" is a heavenly book in which the names of the righteous are written. The concept of God's having a "Book of Life" was probably first enunciated by Moses, who prayed that God would blot him out of God's book rather than dooming his fellow Israelites.

It is because of Adam and Eve sin, they were subject to death and dying. This condition lasted until the "Coming or Return of the Lord Jesus Christ, Who offers "Eternal Life" to all who love Him with all his/her soul, heart, mind and strength."
This is the testimony:
God has given us eternal life
and this life is in His Son [The Lord Jesus Christ];
anyone who has the Son has life,
anyone who does not have the Son does not have life.
I have written all this to you
so that you who believe in the name of the Son of God
may be sure that you have eternal life. 1 John 5:11-13 - John 1:1-5; 5:21, 26 -
Eternal life means more than eternal existence. Eternal life refers to eternal fellowship with God. Eternal life is the highest quality of life. According to the Apostles, it is holiness, and freedom from sin, a positive relationship with God, the Father, and the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Father, the hour has come:
glorify your Son
so that your Son may glorify You;
and, through the power over all mankind that You have given Him,
let Him give eternal life to all those you have entrusted to Him.
And eternal life is this:
to know You,
the only true God,
and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. - John 17:1-3 -
At the end of time, those whose names are not written in the "Book of Life" will be "cast in the lake of fire." The "Book of Life" is a heavenly book in which the names of the righteous are written. The concept of God's having a "Book of Life" was probably first enunciated by Moses, who prayed that God would blot him out of God's book rather than dooming his fellow Israelites.

I have through years of reading, pondering, reflecting and contemplating, the 3 things that last; FAITH . HOPE . LOVE and I would like to made available my sharing from the many thinkers, authors, scholars and theologians whose ideas and thoughts I have borrowed. God be with them always. Amen!
I STILL HAVE MANY THINGS TO SAY TO YOU BUT THEY WOULD BE TOO MUCH FOR YOU NOW. BUT WHEN THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH COMES, HE WILL LEAD YOU TO THE COMPLETE TRUTH, SINCE HE WILL NOT BE SPEAKING AS FROM HIMSELF, BUT WILL SAY ONLY WHAT HE HAS LEARNT; AND HE WILL TELL YOU OF THE THINGS TO COME.
HE WILL GLORIFY ME, SINCE ALL HE TELLS YOU WILL BE TAKEN FROM WHAT IS MINE. EVERYTHING THE FATHER HAS IS MINE; THAT IS WHY I SAID: ALL HE TELLS YOU WILL BE TAKEN FROM WHAT IS MINE. - JOHN 16:12-15 -
