As we celebrate Christmas it is the perfect time to be intimate with God and, God's willing: for us to act like God, showing the ultimate divinity of Jesus Christ being lived out in the world today. We see the reality of God playing "If" when we reverse the equation, imagining God asking Himself: "If I were human, what would I do, how would I act, what would I say?"

Sacred Scripture / Holy Bible says: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The Word was made flesh, He lived among us, and we saw His glory, the glory that is His as the only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth." - John 1:1,14 -

The axiomatic logic and fact that God chose to become a human being holds many wonderful mysteries. These have fed academic professors, philosophers, scholastic, theologians for 2,000 years, encouraging and causing them to ponder just what it means that God was a human being - and a human being was God!.

Among these mysteries is the reality that Jesus was not a secular and worldly power player. He did not smite his enemies. He did not destroy cities. He did not rule in a secular and worldly manner. But at the same time Jesus showed his supremacy over the Wicked and Evil One, that is, his dominion over sin, his triumph over Satan and his total power over death. And he did all of this without using the awesomeness of his divinity.

"Immediately afterwards the Spirit drove Jesus out into the wilderness and he remained there for forty days, and was tempted by Satan. Jesus was with the wild beasts, and the angels looked after him." - Mark 1:12-13 -; Matthew 4:1-11; Luke 4:1-13 -

Hence, Jesus showed us that evil and wicked ways, sin, have no power over him. Satan and death are not defeated by force, power or might but by the Holy Spirit, that is: love, joy, peace, patience and kindness, goodness, trustfulness, gentleness and self-control.

If I were God, my temptation would be to confront the powers of evil on their own terms, following a motto of "Fight fire with fire". And I would definitely fail because the source of wicked and evil's strength rests precisely on the ideas, that is, abused of power, abused of might, force and strength are what really matter.

What Jesus did to show his mastery over evil, sin, Satan and death was to went around them, isolated them, and showed them to be the hollow, worthless manikins that they are.

When confronted with "For I was hungry, thirsty, and a stranger; you gave me food, drink, and welcome me" - Matt. 25:35-36 - Satan has nothing to say! When met with "Father, forgive them; they do not know what they are doing". - Luke 23:34 - sin has no room! When evil meets "Love your enemies" - Matt. 5:44 - evil evaporates! And when Jesus rose from the tomb "just as he said" he would - Matt. 28:6 - death is destroyed! AMEN! Glory and Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

The most divine and profound thing Jesus ever did was to kneel down in front of the apostles at the Last Supper and wash their feet. This was the "Ultimate Act" of God being God by loving and serving his fellow human beings. This humble act also teaches us that our role in life is not only to try to placate God, to be ruled by God or to be afraid of God. Our role in life is: God's willing: to act like God. We are to go out and play and act "If" all of the time in imitation of God.

Perhaps, this is how we celebrate Christmas it is the perfect time for us: God's willing: to act like God, showing the ultimate divinity of Jesus Christ being lived out in the world today. That is: We are to find those who need help, confidence and love and tell them by our words and deeds, actions that they are our brothers and sisters and, as such, are loved.

MERRY CHRISTMAS - GOD IS WITH US. - AMEN!

The woman who was a sinner - Luke 7:36-50 - N. T. -

One of the Pharisees invited Jesus to a meal. When he arrived at the Pharisee's house and took his place at table, a woman came in, who had a bad name in the town. She had heard he was dining with the Pharisee and had brought with her an alabaster jar of ointment. She waited behind him at his feet, weeping, and her tears fell on his feet, and she wiped them away with her hair; then she covered his feet with kisses and anointed them with the ointment.

When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, 'If this man were a prophet, he would know who this woman is that is touching him and what a bad name she has'. Then Jesus took him up and said, 'Simon, I have something to say to you'. 'Speak, Master' was the reply. 'there was once a creditor had two men in his debt; one owed him five hundred denarii, the other fifty. They were unable to pay, so he pardoned them both. Which of them will love him more?' 'The one who was pardoned more, I suppose' answered Simon. Jesus said, 'You are right'.

Then he turned to the woman. 'Simon,' he said 'you see this woman? I came into your house, and you poured no water over my feet, but she has poured out her tears over my feet and wiped them away with her hair. You gave me no kiss, but she has been covering my feet with kisses ever since I came in. You did not anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment. For this reason I tell you that her sins, her many sins, must have been forgiven her, or she would not have shown such great love. It is the man who is forgiven little who shows little love.' Then Jesus said to her, 'Your sins are forgiven'. Those who were with him at table began to say to themselves, 'Who is this man, that he even forgives sins?' But he said to the woman, 'Your faith has saved you; go in peace'.

Then Simon Peter spoke up, 'You are the Christ,' he said 'the Son of the living God'. Jesus replied, 'Simon son of Jonah, you are a happy man! Because it was not flesh and blood that revealed this to you but my Father in heaven.

Cf. - John 4:18-19 - N. T. - Jesus said to her, 'You are right to say, "I have no husband"; for although you have had five, the one you have now is not your husband. You spoke the truth there'. 'I see you are a prophet, sir' said the woman.

'The first' they said to them, 'I tell you solemnly, tax collectors and prostitutes are making their way into the kingdom of God before you.

Cf. - Matthew 9:1-2 - N. T. - Jesus got back in the boat, crossed the water and came to his own town. Then some people appeared, bringing him a paralytic stretched out on a bed. Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralytic, 'Courage, my child, your sins are forgiven'.

T. - For i am under authority myself, and have soldiers under me; and I say to one man: Go, and he goes; to another: Come here, and he comes; to my servant: Do this, and he does it.' And to the centurion Jesus said, 'Go back, then; you have believed, so let this be done for you'. And the servant was cured at that moment.

And from that moment the disciple made a place for her in his home.

The Baptist's question. Jesus commends him - Luke 7:18-30 - N. T.

The disciples of John gave him all this news, and John, summoning two of his disciples, sent them to the Lord to ask, 'Are you the one who is to come, or must we wait for someone else?' When the men reached Jesus they said, 'John the Baptist has sent us to you, to ask, "Are you the one who is to come or have we to wait for someone else?" It was just then that he cured many people of diseases and afflictions and of evil spirits, and gave the gift of sight to many who were blind. Then he gave the messengers their answer, 'Go back and tell John what you have seen and heard: the blind see again, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead raised to life, the Good News is proclaimed to the poor and happy is the man who does not lose faith in me'.

When John's messengers had gone he began to talk to the people about John, 'What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed swaying in the breeze? No? Then what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? Oh no, those who go in for fine clothes and live luxuriously are to be found at court! Then what did you go out to see ? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and much more than a prophet: he is the one of whom scripture says: See, I am going to send my messenger before you; he will prepare the way before you.

'I tell you, of all the children born of women, there is no one greater than John; yet the least in the kingdom of God is greater than he is. All the people who heard him, and the tax collectors too, acknowledged God's plan by accepting baptism from John; but by refusing from him the Pharisee and the lawyers had thwarted what God had in mind for them.'

Cf. - Matthew 11:2-15 - N. T. - Now John in his prison had heard what Christ was doing and he sent his disciples to ask him, 'Are you the one who is to come, or have we got to wait for someone else?' Jesus answered, 'Go back and tell John what you hear and see; the blind see again, and the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, and the dear hear, and the dead are raised to life and the Good News is proclaimed to the poor; and happy is the man who does not lose faith in me'.

As the messengers were leaving, Jesus began to talk to the people about John: 'What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed swaying in the breeze? No? Then what did you go out to see? A man wearing fine clothes? Oh no, those who wear fine clothes are to be found in palaces. Then what did you go out for? To see a prophet? Yes, I tell you, and much more than a prophet: he is the one of whom scripture says: Look, I am going to send my messenger before you; he will prepare your way before you.
'I tell you solemnly, of all the children born of women, a greater than John the Baptist has never been seen; yet the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he is. Since John the Baptist came, up to this present time, the kingdom of heaven has been subjected to violence and the violent are taking it by storm. Because it was towards John that all the prophecies of the prophets and of the Law were leading; and he, if you will believe me, is the Elijah who was to return. If anyone has ears to hear, let him listen!

Cf. - Isaiah 26:19; 35:5-6; 61:1 - O. T. - Your dead will come to life, their corpses will rise; awake, exult, all you who lie in the dust, for your dew is a radiant dew and the land of ghosts will give birth. Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, the ears of the deaf unsealed, then the lame shall leap like a deer and the tongues of the dumb sing for joy; for water gushes in the desert, streams in the wasteland, The spirit of the Lord Yahweh has been given to me, for Yahweh has anointed me. He has sent me to bring good news to the poor, to bind up hearts that are broken; to proclaim liberty to captives, freedom to those in prison.

Cf. - Acts 3:1-10 - N. T. - Once, when Peter, and John were going up to the Temple for the prayers at the ninth hour, it happened that there was a man being carried past. He was a cripple from birth; and they used to put him down everyday near the Temple entrance called the beautiful Gate so that he could beg from the people going in. When this man saw Peter and John on their way into the Temple he begged from them. Both Peter and John looked straight at him and said, 'Look at us'. He turned to them expectantly, hoping to get something from them, but Peter said, 'I have neither silver and nor gold, but I will give you what I have: in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, walk!' Peter then took him by the hand and helped him to stand up.

Instantly, his feet and ankles became firm, he jumped up, stood, and began to walk, and he went with them into the Temple, walking and jumping and praising God. Everyone could see him walking and praising God, and they recognised him as the man who used to sit begging at the Beautiful gate of the Temple. They were all astonished and unable to explain what had happened to him.

Cf. - Luke 2:34 -

Cf. - Matthew 3:1; 21:28-32 - N. T. - In due course John the Baptist appeared; he preached in the wilderness of Judaea and this was his message: 'Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is close at hand'. What is your opinion? A man had two sons. He went and said to the first, "My boy, you go and work in the vineyard today". He answered, "I will not go", but afterwards thought better of it and went. The man then went and said the same thing to the second who answered, "Certainly, sir", but did not go. Which of the two did the father's will?' 'The first' they said. Jesus said to them, I tell you solemnly, tax collectors and prostitutes are making their way into the kingdom of God before you. For John came to you, a pattern of true righteousness, but you did not believe him, and yet the tax collectors and prostitutes did. Even after seeing that, you refused to think better of it and believe in him.

Jesus condemns his contemporaries - Luke 7:31-35 - N. T.

'What description, then, can I find for the men of this generation? What are they like? They are like children shouting to one another while they sit in the market place: "We played the pipes for you, and you wouldn't dance; we sang dirges, and you wouldn't cry".

For John the Baptist comes, not eating bread, not drinking wine, and you say, "He is possessed". The Son of Man comes, eating and drinking, and you say, "Look, a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners". Yet Wisdom has been proved right by all her children.'

Cf. - Matthew 11:16-19 - N. T. - 'What description can I find for this generation? It is like children shouting to each other as they sit in the market place: "We played the pipes for you, and you wouldn't dance; we sang dirges, and you wouldn't be mourners". 'For John came, neither eating and drinking, and they say, "He is possessed". The Son of Man came, eating and drinking, and they say, "Look, a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners". Yet wisdom has been proved right by her actions.'

Cf. - Ezekiel 33:31-32 - O. T. - They throng towards you; my people sit down in front of you and listen to your words, but they do not act on them. They cannot tell the truth and their hearts are set on dishonest gain. As far as they are concerned, you are like a love song beautifully sung to music. They listen to your words, but no one puts them into practice.

Cf. - John 6:34-38 - N. T. - 'Sir,' they said 'give us that bread always.' Jesus answered: 'I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never be hungry; he who believes in me will never thirst. But, as I told you, you can see me and still you do not believe. All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me, I shall not turn him away; because I have come from heaven, not to do my own will, but to do the will of the one who sent me.

When Sacred Scripture says: those who believe in him will have no cause for shame, it makes no distinction between Jew and Greek: all belong to the same Lord, Jesus Christ, who is rich enough, however many ask his help, for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

But they will not ask for his help unless they believe in him, and they will not believe in him unless they heard of him, and they will not hear of him unless they get a preacher, and they will never have a preacher unless one is sent, but as Sacred Scripture say: The footsteps of those who bring good news is a welcome sound.

Not everyone, of course, listens to the Good News. As prophet Isaiah says: Lord, how many believed what we proclaimed? So faith comes from what is preached, and what is preached comes from the word of Christ Jesus. [ 'Word of God' ] - Romans 10:11-17 -

His Holiness Pope Francis (Vicar Of Christ) to theologians: Don't do theology away from people. "A theology that helps every Christian proclaim the saving face of God is necessary."

For Pope Francis (Vicar Of Christ) theologian isn't just a simple scholar of God, but rather much more. He or She is a scholar at the service of a people, the Church, to which he or she belongs and is nurtured by. There's no room for individualist theologians who compete amongst themselves to see who knows more.

Before members of the Italian Theological Association, the Pope said theology must be used to help evangelize.

His Holiness Pope Francis (Vicar Of Christ)

"A theology that helps every Christian proclaim and show is necessary; above all, saving face of God of the merciful God, especially in light of some unprecedented challenges the human being faces today."

Pope Francis met with the organization in honor of its 50th anniversary. The association was created with the goal of helping people understand the Second Vatican Council. - RomeReports.com December 29, 2017 -

HENCE, I EARNESTLY AND PROFOUNDLY BELIEVED THAT AS FAR AS SPIRITUALITY IS CONCERN. IT CAN ONLY COME FROM GOD, THE AUTHOR. THUS, THERE IS NO SUCH THING, AS COPYRIGHT, OR IT IS PRODUCED OR WRITTEN BY ME OR IT IS MINE; THE WORD OF GOD, THE SACRED SCRIPTURE/HOLY BIBLE.

"THIS DISCIPLE IS THE ONE WHO VOUCHES FOR THESE THINGS AND HAS WRITTEN THEM DOWN, AND WE KNOW THAT HIS TESTIMONY IS TRUE. THERE ARE MANY OTHER THINGS THAT THE LORD JESUS CHRIST DID; IF ALL WERE WRITTEN DOWN, THE WORLD ITSELF, I SUPPOSE, WOULD NOT HOLD ALL THE BOOKS THAT WOULD HAVE TO BE WRITTEN." - JOHN 21:24-25 -

JUST AS GOD ORIGINALLY INSPIRED THE SACRED SCRIPTURE/HOLY BIBLE. GOD HAS USED THIS MEANS TO PRESERVE HIS 'WORD' FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS. BUT BEHIND THE WRITING LAY PERIODS OF TIME WHEN THESE MESSAGES WERE CIRCULATED IN SPOKEN FORM. (ORAL TRADITION) THE STORIES OF THE PATRIARCHS WERE PASSED FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION BY WORD OF MOUTH BEFORE THEY WERE WRITTEN. (WRITTEN TRADITION)

THE MESSAGES OF THE PROPHETS WERE DELIVERED ORALLY BEFORE THEY WERE FIXED IN WRITING. NARRATIVES OF THE LIFE AND MINISTRY OF CHRIST JESUS WERE REPEATED ORALLY FOR TWO OR THREE DECADES BEFORE THEY WERE FIXED IN WRITING.

"I STILL HAVE MANY THINGS TO SAY TO YOU BUT THEY WOULD BE TOO MUCH FOR YOU NOW. BUT WHEN THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH COMES, HE WILL LEAD YOU TO THE COMPLETE TRUTH, SINCE HE WILL NOT BE SPEAKING AS FROM HIMSELF, BUT WILL SAY ONLY WHAT HE HAS LEARNT; AND HE WILL TELL YOU OF THE THINGS TO COME.

HE WILL GLORIFY ME, SINCE ALL HE TELLS YOU WILL BE TAKEN FROM WHAT IS MINE. EVERYTHING THE FATHER HAS IS MINE; THAT IS WHY I SAID: ALL HE TELLS YOU WILL BE TAKEN FROM WHAT IS MINE." - JOHN 16:12-15 -

THEREFORE, SACRED SCRIPTURE/HOLY BIBLE QUOTATION, THAT IS, HOW ANYONE AND I PUT WORD OF GOD INTO SENTENCES OR PUT WORDS INTO SENTENCES. REMEMBER ALWAYS! NO MATTER HOW THE "WORD OF GOD" AND WORDS PUT INTO SENTENCES, IN TRUTH, EVERYONE STARTED AND TOOK IT FROM THE MAIN SOURCE, THAT IS, FROM THE WITNESSES AND FROM THE SACRED SCRIPTURE/HOLY BIBLE; "WORD OF GOD."

YOU MUST HAVE HEARD ABOUT THE RECENT HAPPENINGS IN JUDAEA; ABOUT JESUS OF NAZARETH AND HOW HE BEGAN IN GALILEE, AFTER JOHN THE BAPTIST HAD BEEN PREACHING BAPTISM. GOD HAD ANOINTED HIM WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT AND WITH POWER, AND BECAUSE GOD WAS WITH HIM, JESUS WENT ABOUT DOING GOOD AND CURING ALL WHO HAD FALLEN INTO THE POWER OF THE DEVIL.
