Now on the Sabbath day Jesus had gone for a meal to the house of one of the leading Pharisees; and they watched him closely. There in front of him was a man with dropsy, and Jesus addressed the lawyers and Pharisees. 'Is it against the law' he asked 'to cure a man on a Sabbath, or not?' But they remained silent, so Jesus took the man and cured him and sent him away. Then he said to them, 'Which of you here, if a son falls into a well, or his ox, will not pull him out on a Sabbath day without hesitation?' And to this they could find no answer.

No; when you are a guest, make your way to the lowest place and sit there, so that, when your host comes, he may say, "My friend, move up higher". The narrow door; rejection of the Jews, call of the gentiles - Luke 13:22-30 - N. T. -

Through towns and villages Jesus went teaching, making his way to Jerusalem. Someone said to him, 'Sir, will there be only a few saved?' Jesus said to them, 'Try your best to enter by the narrow door, because I tell you, many will try to enter and will not succeed.

Once the master of the house has got up and locked the door, you may find yourself knocking on the door, saying, "Lord, open to us" but he will answer, "I do not know where you come from". Then you will find yourself saying, "We once ate and drank in your company; you taught in our streets" but he will reply, "I do not know where you come from. Away from me, you wicked men!"

Healing of the crippled woman on a Sabbath - Luke 13:10-17 - N. T. -

One Sabbath day Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues, and a woman was there who for eighteen years had been possessed by a spirit that left her enfeebled; she was bent double and quite unable to stand upright. When Jesus saw her he called her over and said, 'Woman, you are rid of your infirmity' and he laid his hands on her. And at once she straightened up, and she glorified God.

But the synagogue official was indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, and he addressed the people present. 'There are six days' he said 'when work is to be done. Come and be healed on one of those days and not on the Sabbath.'

But the Lord answered him. 'Hypocrites! Jesus said 'Is there one of you who does not untie his ox or his donkey from the manger on the Sabbath and take it out for watering? And this woman, a daughter of Abraham whom Satan has held bound these eighteen years - was it not right to untie bonds on the Sabbath day? When he said this, all his adversaries were covered with confusion, and all the people were overjoyed at all the wonders Jesus worked.

It had been a Sabbath day when Jesus made the paste and opened the man's eyes, so when the Pharisee asked him how he had come to see, he said, 'He put a paste on my eyes, and I washed, and I can see'........ However, the Jews would not believe that the man had been blind and had gained his sight, without first sending for his parents and asking them, 'Is this man really your son who you say was born blind? If so, how is it that he is now able to see?' .... He is old enough: let him speak for himself. His parents spoke like this out of fear of the Jews, who had already agreed to expel from the synagogue anyone who should acknowledge Jesus as the Christ. This was why his parents said, 'He is old enough; ask him'.

They asked him, 'Is it against the law to cure a man on the Sabbath day?' hoping for something to use against him. But Jesus said to them, 'If anyone of you here had only one sheep and it fell down in a hole on the Sabbath day, would he not get hold of it and lift it out? Now a man is far more important than a sheep, so it follows that it is permitted to do good on the Sabbath day.' Then he said to the man, 'Stretch out your hand'. He stretched it out and his hand was better, as sound as the other one. At this the Pharisees went out and began to plot against Jesus, discussing how to destroy him.

Parable of the mustard seed - Luke 13:18-19 - N. T. -

Jesus went on to say, 'What is the kingdom of God like? What shall I compare it with? It is like a mustard seed which a man took and threw into his garden: it grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air sheltered in its branches.'

Cf. - Matthew 13:31-32; Mark 4:30-32 - N. T. - Jesus put another parable before them, 'The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed which a man took and sowed in his field. It is the smallest of all the seeds, but when it has grown it is the biggest shrub of all and becomes a tree so that the birds of the air come and shelter in its branches.'

Parable of the yeast - Luke 13:20-21 - N. T. -

Another thing Jesus said, 'What shall I compare the kingdom of God with? It is like the yeast a woman took and mixed in three measures of flour till it was leavened all through.'

For Pope Francis (Vicar Of Christ) theologian isn't just a simple scholar of God, but rather much more. He or She is a scholar at the service of a people, the Church, to which he or she belongs and is nurtured by. There's no room for individualist theologians who compete amongst themselves to see who knows more.

Before members of the Italian Theological Association, the Pope said theology must be used to help evangelize.

THE MESSAGES OF THE PROPHETS WERE DELIVERED ORALLY BEFORE THEY WERE FIXED IN WRITING. NARRATIVES OF THE LIFE AND MINISTRY OF CHRIST JESUS WERE REPEATED ORALLY FOR TWO OR THREE DECADES BEFORE THEY WERE FIXED IN WRITING.

REMEMBER ALWAYS! NO MATTER HOW THE "WORD OF GOD" AND WORDS PUT INTO SENTENCES, IN TRUTH, EVERYONE STARTED AND TOOK IT FROM THE MAIN SOURCE, THAT IS, FROM THE WITNESSES AND FROM THE SACRED SCRIPTURE/HOLY BIBLE; "WORD OF GOD."
