AMEN ("so be it" or "I believe") a solemn word by which a person confirms a statement, an oath or a covenant. It is used in worship to affirm an address, psalm or prayer. In the book of Isaiah, the Lord is called "the God of truth" the original Hebrew means "the God of Amen". This is Isaiah's way of saying that the Lord is the One who remains eternally true, the One who can always be relied on.

May this water of cursing enter your bowels to swell your belly and shrivel your organs! The woman must answer; Amen! Amen! - Num. 5:22 -

Benaiah son of Jehoiada answered the king, 'Amen!' he said 'And may Yahweh too say Amen to the words of my lord the king'. - 1Kin. 1:36 -

May God do this and shake out of his house and property any man who does not keep this promise; may he be shaken out like this and left empty! And the whole assembly answered, 'Amen' and give praise to Yahweh. And the people kept this promise. - Neh. 5:13 -

Blessed forever be his glorious name,
may the whole world be filled with his glory!
Amen! Amen! - Ps. 72:19 -

Whoever asks to be blessed on earth will ask to be blessed by the God of truth and whoever takes oath on earth will take oath by the God of truth, for past troubles will be forgotten and hidden from my eyes. - Is. 65:16 -

In the New Testament, the Lord Jesus Christ is given the same title: "the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness". - Rev. 3:14 -

All that exists comes from him; all is by him and for him. To him be glory forever! Amen. - Rom. 11:36 -

He alone is wisdom; give glory therefore to him through Jesus Christ forever and ever. Amen. - Rom. 16:27 - 1:25, 9:5, 15:33 -

Any uninitiated person will never be able to say Amen to your thanksgiving, if you only bless God with the spirit, for he will have no idea what you are saying. - 1Cor. 14:16 -

That is why it is 'through him' that we answer Amen to the praise of God. - 2Cor. 1:20 -

Glory be to him from generation to generation in the Church and in Christ Jesus forever and ever. Amen. - Eph. 3:21 -

The Lord will rescue me from all evil attempts on me and bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory forever and ever. Amen. - 2Tim. 4:18 -

May make you ready to do his will in any kind of good action; and turn us all into whatever is acceptable to himself through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. - Heb. 13:21 -

If you are a speaker, speak in words which seem to come from God; if you are a helper, help as though every action was done at God's orders; so that in everything God may receive the glory through Jesus Christ since to him alone belong all glory and power forever and ever. Amen. - 1Pet. 4:11 -

Instead go on growing in the grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory, in time and in eternity. Amen. - 2Pet. 3:18 -

It is he who is coming on the clouds; everyone will see him even those who pierced him and all the races of the earth will mourn over him. This is the truth. Amen. 'I am the Alpha and the Omega' says the Lord God, who is, who was, and who is to come, the Almighty. - Rev. 1:7-8 -

And all the angels who were standing in a circle round the throne, surrounding the elders and the four animals, prostrated themselves before the throne and touched the ground with their foreheads, worshipping God with these words, 'Amen. Praise and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honour and power and strength to our God forever and ever. Amen. - Rev. 7:11-12 -

Then the twenty-four elders and the four animals prostrated themselves and worshipped God seated there on his throne and they cried, 'Amen, Alleluia'. - Rev. 19:4 -

The one who guarantees these revelations repeats his promise: I shall indeed be with you soon. Amen; come, Lord Jesus.

May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with you all. Amen. - Rev. 22: 20-21; 5:14; Deut. 27:15-26; Judith 13:26; Rom. 1:25, 15:33; Gal. 1:5; Phil. 4:20; 1Tim. 1:17, 6:16; Jude 25 -

I have through years of reading, pondering, reflecting and contemplating, the 3 things that last; FAITH . HOPE . LOVE and I would like to made available my sharing from the many thinkers, authors, scholars and theologians whose ideas and thoughts I have borrowed. God be with them always. Amen!

I STILL HAVE MANY THINGS TO SAY TO YOU BUT THEY WOULD BE TOO MUCH FOR YOU NOW. BUT WHEN THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH COMES, HE WILL LEAD YOU TO THE COMPLETE TRUTH, SINCE HE WILL NOT BE SPEAKING AS FROM HIMSELF, BUT WILL SAY ONLY WHAT HE HAS LEARNT; AND HE WILL TELL YOU OF THE THINGS TO COME.

HE WILL GLORIFY ME, SINCE ALL HE TELLS YOU WILL BE TAKEN FROM WHAT IS MINE. EVERYTHING THE FATHER HAS IS MINE; THAT IS WHY I SAID: ALL HE TELLS YOU WILL BE TAKEN FROM WHAT IS MINE. - JOHN 16:12-15 -
