ATHANASIAN CREED

We believe and confess that our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Son of God, is at once both God and Man.
He is God of the substance of the Father,
begotten before the worlds, and He is man,
of the substance of his Mother, born in the world; perfect God; perfect man,
of reasoning soul and human flesh consisting; equal to the Father as touching His Godhead; less than the Father as touching His manhood.
Who, although He be God and man,
yet He is not two, but is one Christ; one, however,
not by change of Godhead into flesh but by taking of manhood into God; one altogether,
not by confusion of substance, but by unity of person.

For as reasoning soul and flesh is one man,
so God and man is one Christ; who suffered for our salvation,
descended to the world below, rose again from the dead,
ascended into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of the Father to come from thence to judge the living and the dead.
At whose coming all men shall rise again with their bodies,
and shall give account for their own deeds.
And they that have done good will go into life eternal; they that have done evil into eternal fire.

I have through years of reading, pondering, reflecting and contemplating, the 3 things that last; FAITH . HOPE . LOVE and I would like to made available my sharing from the many thinkers, authors, scholars and theologians whose ideas and thoughts I have borrowed. God be with them always. Amen!

I STILL HAVE MANY THINGS TO SAY TO YOU BUT THEY WOULD BE TOO MUCH FOR YOU NOW. BUT WHEN THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH COMES, HE WILL LEAD YOU TO THE COMPLETE TRUTH, SINCE HE WILL NOT BE SPEAKING AS FROM HIMSELF, BUT WILL SAY ONLY WHAT HE HAS LEARNT; AND HE WILL TELL YOU OF THE THINGS TO COME.

HE WILL GLORIFY ME, SINCE ALL HE TELLS YOU WILL BE TAKEN FROM WHAT IS MINE. EVERYTHING THE FATHER HAS IS MINE; THAT IS WHY I SAID: ALL HE TELLS YOU WILL BE TAKEN FROM WHAT IS MINE. - JOHN 16:12-15 -
