Holy Scripture affirms that man and woman were created for one another: "It is not good that man should be alone." The woman, flesh of his flesh," i.e. his counterpart, his equal, his nearest in all things, is given to him by God as a "helpmate"; she thus represents God from whom comes our help. "Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother cleaves to his wife, and they become one flesh." The Lord himself shows that this signifies an unbreakable union of their two lives by recalling what the plan of the Creator has been "in the beginning": "So they are no longer two, but one flesh." - CCC 1605 -

Yahweh God said, 'it is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him a helpmate...............So Yahweh God made the man fall into a deep sleep. And while he slept, he took one of his ribs and enclosed it in flesh. Yahweh God built the rib he had taken from the man into a woman, and brought her to the man. The man exclaimed:
'This at last is bone from my bones,
and flesh from my flesh!
This is to be called woman,
for this was taken from man.'
This is why a man leaves his father and mother and joins himself to his wife, and they become one body. - Gen. 1:18-24 -

They are no longer two, therefore, but one body. So then, what God has united, man must not divide. - Matthew 19:6 -

Every man experiences evil around him and within himself. This experience makes itself in the relationships between man and woman. Their union has always been threatened by discord, a spirit of domination, infidelity, jealousy and conflicts that can escalate into hatred and separation. This disorder can manifest itself more or less overcome according to the circumstances of cultures, era and individuals, but it does seem to have a universal character. - CCC 1606 -

According to faith the disorder we notice so painfully does not stem from the nature of man and woman, nor from the nature of their relations, but from sins. As a break with God, the first sin had for its first consequence the rupture of the original communion between man and woman. Their relations were distorted by mutual recriminations, their mutual attraction, the Creator's own gift, changed into a relationship of domination and lust; and the beautiful vocation of man and woman to be fruitful, multiply and subdue the earth was burdened by the pain of childbirth and the toil of work. - CCC 1607 -

Nevertheless, the order of creation persists, though seriously disturbed. To heal the wounds of sin, man and woman need the help of the grace that God in his infinite mercy never refuses them. Without his help man and woman cannot achieve the union of their lives for which God created them "in the beginning."

The man replied, it was the woman you put with me; she gave me the fruit, and I ate it.' Then Yahweh God asked the woman, 'What is this you have done?' 'The woman replied, 'The serpent tempted me and I ate.'
Then Yahweh God said to the serpent, 'Because you have done this,
'Be accursed beyond all cattle,
all wild beasts.
You shall crawl on your belly and eat dust
everyday of your life.

I will make you enemies of each other:
you and the woman,
your offspring and her offspring.
It will crush your head
and you will strike its heel.'
To the woman he said:
'I will multiply your pains in childbearing,
you shall give birth to your children in pain.
Your yearning shall be for your husband,
yet he will lord it over you.'

To the man he said, 'Because you listened to the voice of your wife and ate from the tree of which I had forbidden you to eat.
'Accursed be the soil because of you.
With suffering shall you get your food from it
everyday of your life.
It shall yield you brambles and thistles,
and you shall eat wild plants.
With sweat on your brow
shall you eat your bread,
until you return to the soil,
as you will taken from it,

For dust you are
and to dust you shall return.'
The man named his wife 'Eve because she was the mother of all those who live. Yahweh God made clothes out of skins for the man and his wife, and they put them on. - Gen. 3:12-21 -

In his mercy God has not forsaken sinful..............

I have through years of reading, pondering, reflecting and contemplating, the 3 things that last; FAITH . HOPE . LOVE and I would like to made available my sharing from the many thinkers, authors, scholars and theologians whose ideas and thoughts I have borrowed. God be with them always. Amen!

I STILL HAVE MANY THINGS TO SAY TO YOU BUT THEY WOULD BE TOO MUCH FOR YOU NOW. BUT WHEN THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH COMES, HE WILL LEAD YOU TO THE COMPLETE TRUTH, SINCE HE WILL NOT BE SPEAKING AS FROM HIMSELF, BUT WILL SAY ONLY WHAT HE HAS LEARNT; AND HE WILL TELL YOU OF THE THINGS TO COME.

HE WILL GLORIFY ME, SINCE ALL HE TELLS YOU WILL BE TAKEN FROM WHAT IS MINE. EVERYTHING THE FATHER HAS IS MINE; THAT IS WHY I SAID: ALL HE TELLS YOU WILL BE TAKEN FROM WHAT IS MINE. - JOHN 16:12-15 -

God bestows more consideration on the purity of intention with which our actions are performed than on the actions themselves - Saint August...
