Incarnation refers to a theological term for the coming of God's Son into the world as a human being. It is based on clear references in the New Testament to Jesus as a person "in the flesh".

Jesus participated fully in all that it means to live a human life. But if Jesus were merely a man, no matter how great, there would be no significance in drawing attention to His bodily existence. The marvelous thing is that in Jesus, God Himself began to live a fully human life. As the apostle Paul declared, "In Him dwells all the fullness of the God-head bodily." - Col. 2:9 -

The capacity of Jesus to reveal God to us and to bring salvation depends upon His being fully God and fully man at the same time. Our human minds cannot understand how Jesus can be both fully God and fully man. But the Sacred Scripture/Holy Bible gives clear indication of how this works out in practice.

In your minds you must be the same as Christ Jesus;
His state was divine,
yet he did not cling
to his equality with God
but emptied himself
to assume the condition of a slave,
and became as men are,
he was humbler yet,
even to accepting death,
death on a cross.

But God raised him high
and gave him the name
which is above all other names
so that all beings
in the heavens, on earth and in the underworld,
should bend the knee at the name of Jesus
and that every tongue should acclaim
Jesus Christ as Lord,
to the glory of God the Father. - Phil. 2:5-11 -

God has done what the Law, because of our unspiritual nature, was unable to do. God dealt with sin by sending his own Son in a body as physical as any sinful body, and in that body God condemned sin. He did this in order that the Law's just demands might be satisfied in us, who behave not as our unspiritual nature as the spirit dictates. - Rom. 8:3-4 -

This was to create one single New Man in himself out of the two of them and by restoring peace through the cross, to unite them both in a single Body and reconcile them with God. - Eph. 2:15 -

But now he has reconciled you, by his death and in that mortal body. - Col. 1:22 -

In the sixth month the angel Gabriel...................................Mary, do not be afraid; you have won God's favour. Listen! You are to conceive and bear a son, and you must name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High......................................................And so the child will be holy and will be called Son of God. - Luke 1:26-35 -

This is how Jesus Christ came to be born. His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph; but before they came to live together she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. - Matt. 1:18 -

In due course John the Baptist appeared.........................................As soon as Jesus was baptised he came up from the water, and suddenly the heavens opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming down on him. And a voice spoke from heaven, 'This is my Son, the Beloved; my favour rests on him'. - Matt. 3:1-17; Mark 1:9-11; Luke 3:21-22; -

The next day, seeing Jesus coming towards him, John said........................John also declared, 'I saw the Spirit coming down on him from heaven like a dove and resting on him...............Yes, I have seen and I am the witness that he is the Chosen One of God.' - John 1:29-34 -

Six days later, Jesus took with him Peter and James and his brother John .......... .............and from the cloud there came a voice which said, 'This is my Son, and the Beloved; he enjoys my favour. Listen to him.' - Matt. 17:1-8; Mark 9:2-8; Luke 9:28-36 -

Jesus said:
'I am the resurrection.
If anyone believes in me, even though he dies he will live,
and whoever lives and believes in me
will never die.
Do you believe this?' - John 17:25-26 - John 7:12-19; 8:23; 9:4-5; 9:39; 10:25-39 -

I have through years of reading, pondering, reflecting and contemplating, the 3 things that last; FAITH . HOPE . LOVE and I would like to made available my sharing from the many thinkers, authors, scholars and theologians whose ideas and thoughts I have borrowed. God be with them always. Amen!

I STILL HAVE MANY THINGS TO SAY TO YOU BUT THEY WOULD BE TOO MUCH FOR YOU NOW. BUT WHEN THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH COMES, HE WILL LEAD YOU TO THE COMPLETE TRUTH, SINCE HE WILL NOT BE SPEAKING AS FROM HIMSELF, BUT WILL SAY ONLY WHAT HE HAS LEARNT; AND HE WILL TELL YOU OF THE THINGS TO COME.

HE WILL GLORIFY ME, SINCE ALL HE TELLS YOU WILL BE TAKEN FROM WHAT IS MINE. EVERYTHING THE FATHER HAS IS MINE; THAT IS WHY I SAID: ALL HE TELLS YOU WILL BE TAKEN FROM WHAT IS MINE. - JOHN 16:12-15 -

God bestows more consideration on the purity of intention with which our actions are performed than on the actions themselves - Saint August...
