You shall love Yahweh your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength. Let these words I urge on you today be written on your heart. You shall repeat them to your children and say them over to them whether at rest in your house or walking abroad, at your lying down or at your rising; you shall fasten them on your hand as a sign and on your forehead as a circlet; you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. - Deut. 6:4-9 -
Scriptural/Biblical law is more than a record of human law. It is an expression of what God requires of man. It rest on the eternal moral principles that are consistent with the very nature of God Himself. Therefore, the Ten Commandments is the summary of moral law. As such it sets forth fundamental and universal moral principles.
On the Laws Regulating Other Social Behaviour and because God is holy. God commanded the Hebrew people to keep themselves from pagan religious and cultic practices. Among these practices were boiling a kid in its mother's milk, shaving one's head in a particular way, worshiping idols, sacrificing children, participating in homosexuality and temple prostitution, slashing or tattooing one's body and practicing magic, sorcery or divination. - Lev. 19:26-31, 20:2, 21:5-6, 13:33; Deut. 7:5,25, 12:2-3, 14:21 -
God's people were to preserve and always ponder the Lord's law, revere His name, be grateful and thankful, and obey, love and serve their redeemer God. - Deut. 4:2, 6:4-7, 8:6-10, 10:12-16, 11:1,13-14 -
Most of the time, we may think and contemplate 'what faith does?'
Do you mean that faith makes the Law pointless? Not at all: we are giving the Law its true value. - Rom. 3:31 -
Do not imagine that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have come not to abolish but to complete them. I tell you solemnly, till heaven and earth disappear, not one dot, not one little stroke, shall disappear from the Law until its purpose is achieved. Therefore, the man who infringes even one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be considered the least in the kingdom of heaven; but the man who keeps them and teaches them will be considered great in the kingdom of heaven. - Matt. 5:17-19 -
God has done what the Law because of our unspiritual nature, was unable to do. God dealt with sin by sending his own Son in a body as physical as any sinful body, and in that body, God condemned sin. He did this in order that the Law's just demands might be satisfied in us, who behave not as our unspiritual nature but as the spirit dictates. - Rom. 8:3-4 -
You see, if a man keeps the whole of the Law except for one small point at which he fails, he is still guilty of breaking it all. It was the same person who said, 'You must not commit adultery' and 'You must not kill'. Now if you commit murder, you do not have to commit adultery as well to become a breaker of the Law. Talk and behave like people who are going to be judged by the law of freedom because there will be judgment without mercy for those who have not been merciful themselves; but the merciful need have no fear of judgment. - James 2:11-13 -
Brothers, I have the very warmest love.......But now the Law has come to an end with Christ and everyone who has faith may be justified. When Moses refers to being justified by the Law, he writes: those whose keep the Law will draw life from it. But the righteous that comes from faith says this: Do not tell yourself you have to bring Christ down - as in the text: Who will go up to heaven? or that you have to bring Christ back from the dead - as in the text: Who will go down to the underworld? On the positive side it says: The word, that is the faith that we proclaim is very near to you, it is on your lips and in your heart. If your lips confess that Jesus is Lord and if you believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, then you will be saved. By believing from the heart you are made righteous: by confessing with your lips you are saved. When scripture says: those who believe in him will have no cause for shame, it makes no distinction between Jew and Greek: all belong to the same Lord who is rich enough, however many ask for his help, for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. - Rom. 10:1-13 -

I have through years of reading, pondering, reflecting and contemplating, the 3 things that last; FAITH . HOPE . LOVE and I would like to made available my sharing from the many thinkers, authors, scholars and theologians whose ideas and thoughts I have borrowed. God be with them always. Amen!
I STILL HAVE MANY THINGS TO SAY TO YOU BUT THEY WOULD BE TOO MUCH FOR YOU NOW. BUT WHEN THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH COMES, HE WILL LEAD YOU TO THE COMPLETE TRUTH, SINCE HE WILL NOT BE SPEAKING AS FROM HIMSELF, BUT WILL SAY ONLY WHAT HE HAS LEARNT; AND HE WILL TELL YOU OF THE THINGS TO COME.
HE WILL GLORIFY ME, SINCE ALL HE TELLS YOU WILL BE TAKEN FROM WHAT IS MINE. EVERYTHING THE FATHER HAS IS MINE; THAT IS WHY I SAID: ALL HE TELLS YOU WILL BE TAKEN FROM WHAT IS MINE. - JOHN 16:12-15 -
